Recently, Gloria Bosman was appointed to Samro’s board as a Non-executive director. The announcement reads, “The Southern African Music Rights Organisation (SAMRO) has announced that Gloria Bosman will join the organization as a Board Member. Gloria has won multiple music awards, released 6 solo albums, and has performed around the world” In addition, Bosman won two South African Music Awards (Samas) and over 11 nominations. She was also part of two Kora nominations.

Her first debut album was, Tranquility, which was released in the ’90s, Bosman’s first album helped her to win the prestigious award for Best Newcomer and received a nomination for Best Contemporary Jazz Album. She was selected as Best Female Artist at the 2001 Samas.

Another album, named Stop and Think, released in the 2000s received nominations for Best Female Artist and Best Jazz Album at the 2003 SamasSamas.
Her solo album, which was released in 2004, received six Sama nominations and the title Best Female Composer.
