The Official statement reads, “we are saddened to announce Marty Sammon passed away suddenly yesterday after celebrating his 45th birthday in NOLA. We were fortunate to have him play keyboards at the Bender last month with Buddy Guy. Sending our deepest condolences to all.”

Veteran keyboardist Marty Sammon died at the age of 45. He was born on 14th October 1977 in an Irish-American family in Chicago’s South Side. He started playing the keyboard at a young age. He showed his flare into the keyboard at a young age while listening to albums with his father named Martin Sammon Sr., a Chicago Police Officer.
